Students are admitted to Saints Peter and Paul School at the discretion of the administration. The ability of the student to participate in the entire Saints Peter and Paul School program will determine acceptance. The principal will oversee all decisions regarding admission. For all new students, the following documents are required: A. Official certificates of birth, baptism, and any other sacraments received Admission to Junior Pre-Kindergarten Program for 3-Year-Olds To enter the Junior Pre-Kindergarten program, a child must be three (3) years old by September 1st of the school year in which he/she is being enrolled. If the child is not three by September 1st, he/she will need to be enrolled in the Junior Pre-K program for two years. Admission to Senior Pre-Kindergarten Program for 4-Year-Olds To enter the Senior Pre-Kindergarten program, a child must be four (4) years old by September 1st of the school year in which he/she is being enrolled. If the child is not four by September 1st, he/she will need to be enrolled in the Senior Pre-K program for two years. At registration, each Pre-K student is required to present a birth certificate or hospital record for birth identity, along with a baptismal certificate. Each child also must have a school physical prior to the beginning of the school year. Admission to Kindergarten To enter Kindergarten, a child must be five (5) years old by September 1st of the school year in which he/she is being enrolled. At registration, each Kindergarten student is required to present a birth certificate or hospital record for birth identity, along with a baptismal certificate. At the beginning of the school year, all Kindergarten students will be administered a readiness screening by the Kindergarten teacher to identify the development level of each student. Nondiscriminatory Policy Saints Peter and Paul School adheres to the following nondiscriminatory policy as outlined by the Diocese of Fall River: “The non-public schools of the Diocese of Fall River admit students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the schools. They do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of their educational policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.”
